The New Florence Community Development organization has been working on getting a famer’s market set up in New Florence.  On Friday, August 19th Jeremy Auker and his family from Brush Valley will be bringing their locally grown, farm fresh produce to New Florence. The sale will run from 4pm to 7pm. The location will be in the recently cleared, graded, and graveled front parking lot at the storage facility. The address is 179 Ligonier Street, across from the New Florence Family Restaurant and beside the post office.  This is a trial run since most sellers are already committed to locations and have full calendars for the 2022 growing season. The Auker’s have offered to cut time from their schedule to join us in testing the waters to see how well the area embraces the idea. If the surrounding communities support the “farmers market” and make it a success, we plan to make it a permanent location and assist with the advertisement.  If you have the opportunity and would like to support the formation of a local market, please take time to stop on the evening of August 19th.  Thank you!!
