DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Municipal General Election is on Tuesday\, November 7th\, 2023.  Polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm.  The New Florence polling location is the fire department building. \n \nThe 2023 Municipal General Election will be held Tuesday\, November 7\, 2023.  Three seats on the New Florence Borough Council are being voted on.  During the 2023 General Primary Election held in May\, no one ran to be on the ballot this fall.  The three positions expiring will need to be filled with write-in candidates’ names.  Here is the current council and when their terms expire. \nJim Moore\, President\, 8 January 2024\nJeff Rager\,  Vice President\, 5 January 2026\nGwen Dellett\, 8 January 2024\nMason Luther\,  5 January 2026\nJason Beatty\,  5 January 2026\nChuck O’Shell\,  5 January 2026\nRon Gyure\,  8 January 2024 \nThe positions held by Jim Moore\, Gwen Dellett\, and Ron Gyure will be the vacated positions.  If you vote for Jeff Rager\, Mason Luther\, Jason Beatty\, or Chuck O’Shell\, your vote will be wasted since their terms are not expiring.  Here is the sample ballot that was posted on the Westmoreland County’s website.  Official Municipal Election Sample Ballot – New Florence Borough – November 7 2023   Here is also a snapshot of the Write-In area for borough council positions.  Please come out and vote.
